zencash Horizen (formerly ZenCash) is an incentive-driven application platform with optional zk-SNARK-based privacy features aimed at giving everyone complete control of their digital footprints.
Launched in May 2017 (no ICO and no pre-mining), the leading platform makes real-life use possible, including the ability to chat privately with others, publish information, and go anywhere on the web in privacy. The team is working to spread the Horizen platform around the world, so anyone can create privacy-based apps with the option to monetize what they have created.
This will enable Horizen to bring thousands of real-life services to the mass market. The platform itself is built on a decentralized side chain-based system supported by Horizen’s multi-layer node network.
The project uses a sustainable financing mechanism and aims to empower all ZEN owners to make decisions through a treasury management system designed in partnership with partners Entry and Exit Hong Kong (IOHK).
Horizen has 21,000 accessible nodes in 56 countries, a passionate world community, a team of more than 50 professionals, and one of the largest knot networks in the industry with an ambitious roadmap for ongoing investments in the most advanced research and development.
